This week saw the release of South star Nani’s film HIT: The Third Case, a gripping thriller packed with suspense and crime. Alongside its powerful storyline, the film delivers intense action sequences. The plot and many scenes are so impactful, they’ll leave you stunned. If you’ve recently enjoyed hits like Stree 2 or Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3—known for their mix of action, thrill, horror, and comedy—then this film should definitely be on your watchlist.
Story Plot
The story of the film is disturbing in the best way—it grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. It explores the dark web, portraying a new world of crime. Set in Jammu & Kashmir, it tells the story of people who, under the guise of false freedom, go to the extent of brutally murdering even innocent children. The narrative revolves around this bloody game and the man who vows to stop it—an intense, moody, and somewhat psychotic police officer named SP Arjun Sarkar. The film is full of interconnected threads that unravel slowly throughout, making it a classic “one-man” film. The treatment is exceptional. From the opening scene, the movie pulls you in. Initially, Nani is shown in prison, but the climax turns everything on its head. Some of the scenes are so gripping, you won’t be able to look away. The action is of a much higher level—unlike the old days where the hero fought 8-10 men, now heroes take on dozens, and audiences love it. Such high-octane scenes are plenty here.
Overall
The storyline is decent, and with powerful performances, a solid cast, and a tightly packed climax, this film is totally worth your money. Some scenes are so intense, they’ll shake you. Director Sailesh Kolanu deserves special praise for his masterful direction—the climax is so thrilling, you’ll be on the edge of your seat, holding your breath, your eyes glued to the screen, desperate to know what happens next. Between shocking reveals and high-action sequences, there’s even a brilliant cameo appearance that’s bound to draw whistles and cheers in single-screen cinemas. South star Adivi Sesh makes a strong cameo. The film’s background score perfectly ties each scene to the next and adds real depth.
