SAHID CUP FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2025
Amos Chettri (WB)
If someone were to ask different people in the world what the greatest sacrifice is, what would you say? One such sacrifice that no one can ever forget. That is becoming a martyr. Who can be a martyr? A person who has not yet reached the time of death but has lost his life for the country, nation and soil. He became a SAHID by making the greatest sacrifice for his country and will be remembered by people for generations to come.
SAHID means remembering and honoring those who made great sacrifices (martyrs). SAHID can be honored by participating in community activities such as blood donation or tree planting to commemorate the SAHID, attending cultural events or national commemorations, observing periods of silence, or learning about and celebrating their contributions to society. SAHID can also be honored by engaging in many other social activities.
Similarly, the SAHID Cup Football Tournament 2025 organized by the United Veterans Club, Kalimpong in memory of the martyrs is being held continuously in Kalimpong. United Veterans Club, Kalimpong is going to commemorate the SAHID through games. The SAHID CUP FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2025 has entered the semi-finals.
