Delhi Medical Association (DMA) Supports Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan
Delhi Medical Association (DMA) is the premier medical association of the capital with a membership of over 20,000 and is the Delhi State Branch of the Indian Medical Association. DMA has been actively participating in various community service projects of Govt. of India and Delhi, and extends heartfelt congratulations to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare on the launch of the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan on 17 September 2025.
DMA deeply appreciates this visionary programme and assures full support in making it a grand success. Its members are always ready to contribute and serve in every possible way to achieve the goals of this Abhiyan.
Addressing the press conference, Dr. Girish Tyagi, President, said:
“A clean environment reduces the spread of communicable diseases, and nutrition creates a healthier living space, especially for women and children. To carry this vision forward, we are launching the Sewa Pakhwara from 17 September to 2 October 2025. The campaign will target health check-ups and awareness programmes in various Medical Colleges, following free health check-up and panel discussions on the issues related to preventive healthcare, nutrition, menstrual hygiene and communicable diseases.”
Dr. Satish Lamba, Hon State Secretary, shared that DMA, along with its 12 branches across Delhi, will conduct multiple drives for health check-ups and awareness on women’s health. Screenings will include high-risk screening for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, nutritional assessment (ANC), check-ups for children and other specialist services.

Seminars and workshops on menstrual hygiene and nutrition for women, including adolescent girls.
Dr. Tyagi further added that DMA is in regular touch with the government and will share all progress and feedback.
