New Delhi :
With the aim of realizing the vision of national unity and “One India, Great India,” Bharat Bharati has launched a nationwide “Unity in Diversity” campaign on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The five-day special campaign began in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, under the leadership of National Organizing Secretary Mr. Jagannath Kunjbihari Swain and North India In-charge Mr. Irfan Ahmad.

The main objective of this outreach journey was to remember the contributions of the Iron Man, Sardar Patel, and to convey to the younger generation his decisive role in the historic integration of 562 princely states. In this regard, Mr. Irfan Ahmad stated that the campaign plan was finalized in June this year during the All-India meeting held in Surat, where it was decided to organize national unity programs in 150 universities, major educational institutions (IITs, IIMs), and 150 prominent cities across the country.

The purpose of the campaign is to highlight India’s cultural and linguistic diversity while strengthening the spirit of national harmony and unity among the youth, so that the vibrancy of a “Mini India” is reflected in educational campuses.

During the Srinagar visit, a detailed discussion was held with Prof. Nazir Ganai, Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir Agriculture University, who agreed to host a grand event on the university campus in October. During the Jammu leg of the tour, the Bharat Bharati delegation met with prominent educational figures, government officials, and social leaders.

A special meeting was also held with the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Mr. Manoj Sinha, who was apprised of the progress of the campaign. He assured full support for the upcoming events and promised his personal presence.

As part of the Jammu visit, under the leadership of Kashmir In-charge Dr. Ashok Kaul, Mrs. Rasheeda Mir, Jammu Coordinator Jeevanand Sharma, Cultural Coordinators R.C. Sharma and Upendra Sharma, the team met with Dr. Manoj Gaur, Director of IIT Jammu; Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Mata Vaishno Devi University; Prof. Mishra, Dean of Students’ Welfare; and Ranvijay Singh, Dean and Controller of Examinations of Cluster University.

In a meeting held at the BJP headquarters with Party Vice President Rajeev Charak, assurances were received for political and administrative cooperation for the success of the campaign.

At the conclusion of the tour, a press conference was held at the Bharat Bharati office in Gandhinagar, attended by senior citizens, cultural figures, and organization members. On this occasion, Jeevanand Sharma said:

> “Bharat Bharati is not just an event, but a symbol of unity in diversity and the indomitable national spirit, reflecting the country’s cultural heritage and public harmony.”

It was decided to extend the campaign to other states beyond Jammu and Kashmir, so that the spirit of patriotism, national unity, and cultural pride reaches every citizen. With broad public support, this initiative will undoubtedly prove to be a historic milestone in building an integrated and harmonious India.
