The ANWO Theatre Festival Concludes Successfully in New Delhi: A Confluence of Theatre, Thought, and Sensibility, as the three-day cultural event held at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, from April 24–26, 2026, brought together theatre, literature, and social awareness on one powerful stage. Organized by Arts New Way Organization, the festival created a strong cultural impact in New Delhi, engaging audiences with thought-provoking performances and emotionally rich storytelling.

Starting each evening at 6:00 pm, the festival

featured renowned theatre artists and groups from across India under the guidance of Kuldeep Vashisht, Rizwan Raza, and Guru Dr. Sapan Acharya. A major highlight was the staging of plays inspired by literary legends like Saadat Hasan Manto and Nirmal Verma, with powerful performances such as “Banjh” and “Dedh Inch Upar” leaving a lasting impact on audiences.

The opening day featured “Brahmarshi Vishwamitra,” directed by Guru Dr. Sapan Acharya and Bina Bansal (Suman), followed by the socially satirical “Fati Hui Shaadi Ki Sari.” The second day presented “Fireplace,” addressing contemporary issues, and “Fandi,” a deeply moving play on euthanasia that sparked serious discussions. The final day showcased “Banjh” and concluded with “Dedh Inch Upar,” ending with a vibrant Gujarati folk dance performance choreographed by Bina Bansal.

Three-Day Theatre Festival at Triveni Kala Sangam Enthralls Audience with Powerful Performances

The closing ceremony was attended by senior advocate S.S. Nehra and Hari Krishna Dwivedi, who honored the participants and encouraged the artists. Contributions from performers, including those associated with Chhau dance, added depth to the festival’s success.

Among the award winners, R.C. Suresh received the Best Actor award for his role in “Fandi,” while Khushboo Rajput was honored as Best Actress for her portrayal of Menaka in “Brahmarshi Vishwamitra.” Actor Brij Nukta was also recognized for his role as Narada. Organizers and contributors, including Rizwan Raza, were commended for their efforts, and all participating artists received certificates of appreciation.

The festival ultimately stood out as more than just a cultural event—it became a platform for meaningful dialogue on social issues, history, and human emotions, marking a significant milestone in Delhi’s vibrant cultural landscape.
