All India Ulema Board Welcomes Education Minister’s Resignation, Calls It a Victory of Democracy

The All India Ulema Board has described the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a significant victory for aware students, youth, and democratic values. The Board stated that this development demonstrates that public sentiments expressed through peaceful and constitutional means cannot be ignored in a democracy.
In a joint statement, the Board’s National General Secretary, Rashid Naseem, Advocate, and Abdullah Akhtar, State President of the Uttar Pradesh Media Wing, praised the peaceful and disciplined protest held at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi by students from various states. They said that when the youth of the country raise their voices democratically for their rights, the improvement of the education system, and a better future, their concerns deserve to be taken seriously.
Rashid Naseem, Advocate, stated that the Jantar Mantar movement symbolizes the awareness, unity, and democratic commitment of the nation’s youth. Congratulating all the students who participated in the protest, he said their struggle reflects the growing consciousness of young people regarding their future and the country’s education system.
The Board also welcomed the decision taken by the Central Government. Abdullah Akhtar stated that the government’s willingness to respect public sentiment through its decision is a positive sign of a strong democratic system. According to him, dialogue between the government and the people is the greatest strength of democracy, and such decisions further reinforce citizens’ trust in democratic institutions.
The Ulema Board expressed hope that the changes in the Ministry of Education would lead to greater transparency, sensitivity, and accountability in matters relating to the education system, the integrity of examination processes, and the future of students. The Board also reaffirmed that it would continue to play a constructive role on issues concerning education, youth rights, and the national interest.
