Adani Energy Solutions and RSWM Form Special Partnership for a Sustainable Future
New Delhi/Ahmedabad :
RSWM Limited, a leading textile manufacturer and flagship company of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) for the supply of 60 MW of renewable energy. This agreement marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward sustainable development.
Under this agreement, AESL will manage the entire green power value chain for RSWM Limited’s additional electricity needs. For this, RSWM has invested ₹60 crore in a renewable energy company under the Group Captive Scheme, through which the company’s manufacturing plants in Rajasthan will receive 31.53 crore units of green power annually. With this initiative, the share of renewable energy in RSWM’s total energy requirements will increase from 33% to nearly 70%, meaning that two-thirds of its electricity will now come from green sources.
Riju Jhunjhunwala, Chairman, Managing Director & CEO of RSWM Limited, said,
“This achievement reflects our long-term vision of aligning growth with sustainability, strengthening our position as a future-oriented industrial leader. By fulfilling 70% of our total energy needs from renewable sources—much higher than India’s national average of 31%—RSWM continues to set industry benchmarks in responsible energy transition.”
Kandarp Patel, CEO of Adani Energy Solutions Limited, said,
“We are very pleased to partner with RSWM for this historic initiative. It highlights how sustainability is becoming an integral part of business operations. This collaboration is proof of the potential and impact of renewable energy, which not only strengthens industrial growth but also ensures sustainability. As a leading energy solutions provider, we are proud to support industries in decarbonization through our innovative offerings.”
Rajiv Gupta, Joint Managing Director of RSWM Limited, said,
“With an equity investment of ₹60 crore, this is a significant milestone in our sustainable development journey. It aligns with global clean energy standards and reflects our commitment to this noble objective. By adopting hybrid power, RSWM is not only reducing its carbon footprint but also enhancing energy security and operational efficiency.”
RSWM’s strong focus on sustainability positions the company as a future-ready textile leader. Whether it is renewable energy, circular material flow, or responsible water usage, these initiatives contribute to building a more resilient and restructured economy.
AESL’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) segment provides customized energy solutions to large power consumers. Through reliable, competitive, and expanding green energy sources, AESL helps businesses across sectors achieve both operational and sustainability goals. The company is working towards building a 7,000 MW C&I portfolio in the next five years.
