Mata Satyawati Oberoi’s Centenary Celebration Held with Devotion and Dignity in Meerut
Meerut: The 100th birthday of Mata Satyawati Oberoi, a senior and respected member of Arya Samaj, Shastri Nagar, was celebrated with great enthusiasm, devotion and dignity.
Family members, office-bearers and members of Arya Samaj, along with local residents, gathered to mark this historic occasion. The programme honoured Mata Satyawati Oberoi’s century-long life, her contribution to her family and society, and her commitment to Vedic values and traditions.
Pandit Ajay Arya was invited as the chief devotional singer. He presented a series of devotional songs that created a spiritual and emotional atmosphere. Through his performance, he conveyed the message that human life becomes meaningful through divine grace, noble conduct and service to society.
The songs presented during the programme included “Those Who Receive God’s Grace Make Their Lives Meaningful,” “O Lord, Your Creation Is Infinite,” “Today Is Your Birthday Once Again,” “Who Can Repay a Mother’s Debt,” and “How Can I Describe a Mother?” The songs highlighted the importance of faith, gratitude, a mother’s love and sacrifice, and the values taught by saints and spiritual leaders.
The programme concluded with a devotional song in praise of the sages and spiritual teachers who contributed to the spread of knowledge, truth and Vedic values in society.
The ceremony began with a sacred fire ritual conducted by Acharya Randhir Shastri Vidya Bhaskar. At the end of the programme, distinguished guests and attendees sought Mata Satyawati Oberoi’s blessings and prayed for her continued good health, happiness and longevity.
Those present included Arya Samaj Shastri Nagar Railway President Suraj Pal, Minister Madan Pal Singh Tomar, President Ravindra Singh, Dr. Virendra, Rajesh Sethi of Arya Samaj Sadar, Sudhakar of Arya Samaj Budhana Gate, and several other prominent members and local residents.
Dr. Suneet Dewan, son of Late Yash Pal Dewan, elder brother of Mata Satyawati Oberoi, senior Journalist,
Chief Editor and Publisher of Wide News of India, was also present on the occasion. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes to Mata Satyawati Oberoi and expressed gratitude to all those who attended the centenary celebration.
