‘Vande Mataram’ to Showcase a Beautiful Confluence of India’s Culture and Freedom
On 23rd and 24th August 2025, ‘Vande Mataram’ will witness India’s 78th Independence Day and the 14th anniversary of Jashn-e-Adab

New Delhi : This year is truly special, bringing with it the vibrancy of culture and the fragrance of patriotism. On one hand, India is celebrating its 78th Independence Day, while on the other, Jashn-e-Adab Sahityotsav marks its 14th anniversary. To commemorate this occasion, Jashn-e-Adab is organizing a grand event titled ‘Vande Mataram’, which will present a beautiful confluence of literature, music, art, and culture. This festival is not just about performances—it will serve as a vibrant platform for dialogue between India’s cultural heritage and the new generation.
The event will take place on 23rd and 24th August 2025 at the Auditorium and Multipurpose Hall of India International Centre, New Delhi. The festival will feature classical singing, ghazals and folk music, Sufi and traditional songs, poetry sessions, mushairas, panel discussions, drama, and dance performances. Each presentation will not only entertain the audience but also offer a deep insight into the richness and diversity of Indian culture.
The event will open with grand music and dance performances, where the fusion of history, culture, and emotions will be showcased through classical singing and Kathak presentations. Literary sessions will follow, where writers and poets will share their thoughts, with opportunities for young talents to take the stage. In the evening, poetry and mushaira sessions will enthrall the audience, with renowned personalities touching hearts with their words and expressions. Various groups and artists performing on stage will include Asmita Theatre Group, Master Adhiraj Chaudhary, Vidya Lal & Group, Vidya Shah, and Dr. Yash Gulati. Additionally, Farhat Ehsas, Mangal Naseem, Govind Gulshan, Sunil Panwar, Javed Mushiri, Kunwar Ranjit Chauhan, Azam Shakiri, Rehman Moosavar, Binod Sinha, Gulzar Wani, and Pawan Kumar will also present their works.
The second day will begin with classical and traditional music, followed by performances from artists bringing laughter and entertainment to the audience. In the evening, a blend of poetry and music, along with poetry sessions and mushairas, will mark the festival’s most memorable moments. Young poets and groups, led by Anees Sabri & Group, will take the spotlight. Renowned artists, including Padma Bhushan Pandit Sajan Mishra, Swaranash Mishra, and poets such as Prof. Wasim Barelvi, Padma Shri Surendra Sharma, and Prof. Ashok Chakradhar, will also present their performances.
