It is particularly noteworthy that India attained independence on August 15, 1947, which was a Friday (Jumu’ah), and this year too, Independence Day was celebrated on a Friday. On this occasion, the Imam of Parewali Masjid, Maulana Abdul Qayyum, offered special prayers in the mosque for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the nation and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs.
The program was conducted by RWA President Mohammad Ali, who described it as a symbol of communal harmony and national unity.
