The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with gaiety and dignity at Uttarakhand Niwas and Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi
On the occasion of 79th Independence Day of India , the flag hoisting ceremony was organised with great joy and dignity at Uttarakhand Niwas and Uttarakhand Sadan in New Delhi .
New Delhi: MLA Shri Suresh Gadhiya hoisted the flag in the program organized at Uttarakhand Niwas . On this occasion , while wishing Happy Independence Day , he saluted the immortal revolutionaries and freedom fighters who sacrificed their all for the freedom of Mother India , as well as the immortal sons who were martyred in the creation of Uttarakhand state . He said that on this auspicious day , we all should take a pledge to build a united India – a great India and a developed and self-reliant India .
In the ceremony organized at Uttarakhand Sadan , Resident Commissioner Shri Ajay Mishra hoisted the flag and administered the oath of national unity and integrity to the present officers , employees and police personnel . Extending his best wishes on Independence Day , he said that this day is an opportunity to remember all those great freedom fighters and brave martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for the freedom and security of the country . He also paid tribute to the martyrs who were martyred in the creation of Uttarakhand state .
After the flag hoisting ceremonies , sweets and fruits were distributed to the officers , employees , police personnel and children present at the Uttarakhand Niwas by MLA Shri Suresh Gadhiya and to the residents of Uttarakhand Sadan by Resident Commissioner Shri Ajay Mishra .
On this occasion , Chairman of Media Advisory Committee of Uttarakhand Government , Prof. Govind Singh , Additional Resident Commissioner Mr. Ramesh Singh Rawat , Media Coordinator of Chief Minister of Uttarakhand based in Delhi , Mr. Madan Mohan Satti , Senior Medical Officer of Uttarakhand Sadan , Dr. Prasun Sheoran , Special Officer Mr. Ranjan Mishra , Senior Administrative Officer Mrs. Geeta Kala along with all the officers and employees of Uttarakhand State working in Delhi were present .
