New Delhi ( News Varta) : The unique tradition of Ganesh Visarjan continues by the lawyers.

The tenth anniversary of Ganpati Visarjan was celebrated with great pomp by the lawyers at Rohini Court.

Ganesh Visarjan, also known as Ganapati Visarjan, is an important Hindu festival celebrated mainly in India and marks the conclusion of the ten-day long Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. The festival celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha, the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. The Visarjan ceremony involves immersion of Ganesha idols in water bodies, usually rivers, lakes or seas. Devotees carry elaborately crafted idols of Lord Ganesha in vibrant processions accompanied by music, dance and chanting.

Immersion symbolizes the departure of Lord Ganesha to his divine abode, marking the end of his earthly sojourn and the promise of his return the following year. It is believed that during the immersion, Lord Ganesha takes away the misfortunes and obstacles of his devotees and bestows them with blessings and prosperity.
