Meyebelar Gaan and Kaljoyee Gaan: A Musical and Literary Tribute to the Voice of Women mesmerized the audience
New Delhi : Le Rythme Forum of Culture & Education, in collaboration with the Probhas Kalyani Priti Trust and Supported by NBCC organized a soulful musical evening titled “Meyebelar Gaan & Kaljoyee Gaan” at the Bipin Chandra Pal Auditorium, C.R. Park, New Delhi.
Rajib Mukhapadhya, Co- Founder of Le Rythme said, “This event was a tribute to womanhood, celebrating strength, resilience, and the timeless feminine voice in art and culture. It is also organized in the cherished memory of Rini Mukherjee, under the banner of the Rini Mukherjee Foundation, whose legacy continues to inspire artistic excellence and cultural preservation.” This special event was marked the first-ever Delhi performance by Taslima Nasrin, the renowned Bangladeshi-Swedish author and poet. Taslima Nasrin presented a live recitation of her own compositions, accompanied by musical renditions of select pieces based on her poetry. Her appearance marks a rare cultural moment that combines activism, literature, and lyrical expression. Sharing the stage is the acclaimed Bengali vocalist Sriradha Bandyopadhyay, known for her evocative voice and timeless renditions. She performed a set titled “Kaljoyee Gaan” — a collection of immortal Bengali songs that continue to resonate across generations.
