On the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Commemoration of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji—whose sacrifice has left an immortal mark on history—the Zilla Parishad Upper Primary School at Rajdehere Settlement was filled with enthusiasm and vibrant energy. The occasion was the prize distribution ceremony of various competitions organized as per government directives. Through the generosity of the social organization Global Banjara Astitva Foundation, the event went beyond a routine prize distribution and became a truly inspiring ceremony that strengthened students’ dreams and aspirations.
Strengthening Values in the Presence of Dignitaries
The program commenced with the ceremonial worship of the portrait of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji by the dignitaries. Present on the occasion were Vilas Bagul, Chairman of the School Management Committee; Ashok Rathod, President of Global Banjara Astitva Foundation; Vice President Aarti Mahale; Headmaster Dilip Deshmukh; along with a large number of villagers. The gathering collectively reaffirmed their resolve to pass on the legacy of Guru Ji’s sacrifice and courage to the younger generation.

The school-level competitions tested the all-round abilities of the students.
The kabaddi matches showcased agility and teamwork, while the running races reflected determination and endurance.
The rangoli competition allowed young hands to express creativity through vibrant colors.
The highlight of the event was the “Word Reading Speed in Seconds” competition, which proved to be a guiding initiative for nurturing reading habits in the modern era.
Instead of limiting the rewards to trophies or mementos, the Foundation thoughtfully presented educational materials as prizes, keeping the students’ future in mind. The first, second, and third prize winners received these awards at the hands of the dignitaries, with remarkable confidence clearly visible on their faces.

Sharing his thoughts, Ashok Rathod stated, “Education is like the milk of a tigress—once consumed, it empowers a person to roar with confidence. Students should not confine themselves to books alone but should develop a sporting spirit and face life with courage.”
