Spiritual Celebration in Mehrauli Sharif: Maulana Alauddin Naqshbandi Honored with Khilafat of the Ashrafia Silsila

The sacred ambience of Mehrauli Sharif became even more radiant when the renowned scholar and Imam-Khatib of Noori Masjid, Hazrat Maulana Mohammad Alauddin Naqshbandi, was honored with the Khilafat, Bay‘at (spiritual allegiance), and Ijazat (authorization) of the Silsila-e-Aaliya Ashrafia. This distinguished spiritual honor was conferred by Sheikh-ul-Islam Syed Mohammad Madani Miyan Ashrafi Jilani.
On this blessed occasion, several Ulama, Imams, and devotees from the region were present. They expressed heartfelt joy and gratitude upon receiving this spiritual blessing for their community.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Naat-e-Pak in praise of the Prophet ﷺ. Following this, scholars delivered addresses highlighting Maulana Alauddin Naqshbandi’s deep knowledge, teaching contributions, and years of devoted service as an Imam.
For nearly 25 years, Maulana Naqshbandi has been serving as Imam, Khatib, and religious instructor at Noori Masjid, Mehrauli Sharif. Scholars described him as a symbol of knowledge, piety, and dedication. They noted that this Khilafat is not only a divine gift for Mehrauli but also a spiritual blessing for the entire city of Delhi. The honor is expected to further strengthen the blessings of the Ashrafia Sufi Order and infuse renewed energy into religious and educational efforts in the region.

The attendees honored Maulana Naqshbandi with floral garlands, exchanged greetings, and offered prayers. The event concluded with du‘a, salaam, and salat, filling the atmosphere with spiritual tranquility and devotion.
It is hoped that this Khilafat will further illuminate the spiritual legacy of Mehrauli Sharif and the Ashrafia Silsila, spreading the light of peace, knowledge, and divine guidance to future generations.
