NDMC – PSOI Mango Festival – ‘Khaas-ye-Aam’ to show more than 300 varieties of mangoes on 5-6 July,
Ø Two Govt. Mango Research Institute, 10 Mango grower farmers, 25 mango seller/vendor will participate in NDMC-PSOI Mango Festival,
Ø 10 stalls of mango made recipes/products will be represented by farmers, societies and leading restaurants & hotels in NDMC-PSOI Mango Festival.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is going to organize a two day (5th and 6th July) Mango Festival at Palika Services Officers’ Institute (PSOI), located at Vinay Marg, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi from 12 Noon to 9:00 PM each day. The event will be inaugurated on 5th July, 2025 at 12 Noon in a vibrant event.
The PSOI Secretary, Shri Krishan Kumar informed that More than 300 varieties of mangos will be displayed by the two government Mango Research Institutes, and the mango growers/farmer societies.
25 mango sellers/vendors will set up their stalls for selling of mango products at the festival.
Some of the varieties of mangoes are like – Arunika, Ambika, Sansesan, Tomy, Fajali, Langra, Lucknowa Safeda, Kachcha Meetha, Dudhiya Gola, Matka Gola, Safeda Amin, Desi Kism, Desi Gola, Desi TUHARU, Munjar Amin, Kism Azad, Gulab Khas, Gulab Jamun, Dashari, Amrpali, Hathi jhool, Malika, Chausa will be displayed.
Participants – Government Research Institutions like ICAR- CISH Lucknow will display around 250 varieties with leading varieties like Dashehari, Langra, Chausa, Mallika, Amrapali, Amiga, Arunica and other several varieties and hybrids. ICAR- IARI New Delhi will display its own varieties including Pusa Lalima i.e. one of the colour varieties. While a total of 10 farmers societies and individuals will display more than 100 varieties on each stall in the Mango Festival, Shri Krishan Kumar added.
Competition Activities – There would be a competition between participants on the different varieties of each farmer, such as Dashehari, Mallika, Amrapali, Chausa, Ramkela and mixed fruits. There will be various entertainment and recreational activities for visitors and children.
Mango Products/Recipes – The attraction of the Mango Festival for the visitors will be ten stalls of Mango made preparations, recipes, products, juices, shakes, chatney, murabba, pickles etc. which will be represented by Farmers, Cooperative Societies, Vendors & leading Restaurants and Hotels.
Sale Counter – Best Mango varieties plant samples will be displayed and available for the sale for the visitors in the Mango Festival
The Mango Festival is a part of NDMC’s continuing efforts to promote cultural and seasonal festivities that bring communities together and celebrate India’s rich agricultural diversity. The event will offer an exciting opportunity to sample and purchase a wide array of mango varieties sourced from across the country, along with value-added mango-based products such as juices, pickles, pulps, and desserts.
The Mango Festival is expected to attract a large number of visitors including senior bureaucrats, dignitaries, members, and their families with the general public from Delhi and NCR area providing a unique platform for cultural exchange and culinary enjoyment.
