Naamya Kapoor Clinches Gold in 25m Pistol Women’s Event at Khelo India Youth Games 2025

New Delhi: Delhi’s Naamya Kapoor secured the gold medal with an impressive 27 points in the 25m Pistol Women’s event at the Khelo India Youth Games 2025, held at the Karni Singh Shooting Range. The prestigious competition concluded today amidst spirited performances and enthusiastic crowds.
Closely trailing Kapoor was Anjali Mahendra Bhagwat from Madhya Pradesh, who earned the silver medal with a score of 26 points. The bronze medal went to Khanakvyas from Rajasthan, who finished with 19 points.
The medals were ceremoniously presented by Shri Kundan Kumar, Resident Commissioner, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ahsanuddin Amanullah of the Supreme Court of India, adding to the grandeur of the event.
The shooting competitions are a key highlight of this year’s Khelo India Youth Games, which are being held from May 4 to 15 across multiple venues. Delhi is proudly hosting events in cycling, gymnastics, and shooting, bringing together top young athletes from across the country to compete at the highest level.
The conclusion of the 25m Pistol Women’s event marks another milestone in the Games, exemplifying the spirit of youth, discipline, and sporting excellence that the Khelo India initiative continues to foster.
