Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Communication Technology Management, Shri Niranjan Bishi, has urged the Union Government to take immediate steps for the development of the Char Dham temples located in Bharatpur and Deeg districts of Rajasthan—particularly the sacred Adi Badrinath Dham.
During his recent visit to these districts, Shri Bishi offered prayers at the Char Dham temples and personally assessed the situation on the ground. Shri noted the lack of basic infrastructure such as road connectivity, mobile network coverage, drinking water, and other essential amenities typically expected at a major pilgrimage and tourist destination.
In discussions with Swami Ji of Adi Badrinath Dham, several pressing concerns were highlighted regarding the urgent need for infrastructure development and improved facilities for devotees and tourists alike. Despite thousands of pilgrims visiting the site each year, the area continues to face neglect in terms of development.
After witnessing the challenges firsthand, Shri Bishi wrote to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, requesting directives to the central and state governments for the immediate provision of road and network connectivity, drinking water, and other facilities. Shri Bishi also sought the inclusion of Adi Badrinath Dham and associated temples in the official list of recognized tourist destinations.
Shri Niranjan Bishi has consistently raised social issues of national importance and continues to take initiatives for causes that benefit the public and preserve India’s cultural heritage.
