Mayor held talks with District Officer on development of Mathura Vrindavan Mahanagar

Mathura – Mayor Vinod Agarwal met District Magistrate Mr. CP Singh at his residence regarding the all-round development of Vrindavan Mahanagar. Mayor held an in-depth meeting on waterlogging, encroachment, new projects. Our Yogi government’s full focus is currently on Mathura district. A special action plan should be made for the convenience of devotees visiting Vrindavan. Regarding the problem of waterlogging on the new bus stand and Bhuteshwar Kankali Road, he said that talks have been held with DRM Agra regarding the railway underpass. The problem will be resolved after the underpass is widened. Concern was also expressed on the serious problem near Vrindavan So Saiya Hospital intersection. Mayor suggested that a 2.5 km long cement road should be built to connect Akrur ji temple to the main road via Kashiram Awas in front of the temple through Akrur Dham Gate in front of Vatsalyagram, on which the District Magistrate expressed his consent and issued an order to the Housing Development Council. The DPR of this road has been prepared by Municipal Commissioner Shashank Chaudhary with the Chief Engineer of the Corporation, which will cost around 6 crores. The road will be widened, drains on both sides and the drain in front of Akrur Temple will be cemented. The District Magistrate was told that keeping in view the convenience of women in the Collectorate, the Municipal Corporation is going to build Pink Toilet Booths soon. If space is made available for it, the work will be started immediately. The District Magistrate said that land will be made available soon. The Mayor asked for a toilet near the main gate of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and a tin shed type booth on the entire road. The District Magistrate said that he will inspect it soon and while urging to pay special attention to cleanliness, he said that there should be special arrangements for cleanliness in Vrindavan. For this, a proposal can be sent to the government for providing adequate resources. He said that the cleaning work on the main road should be completed by 8 a.m. Pramod Bansal was also present during this meeting.
