Rajsamand : The newly appointed District Collector, Arun Kumar Haseeja, was welcomed by the District Accredited Journalists’ Association in his chamber with a traditional Mewari turban and “uparna” (ceremonial scarf). On behalf of the association, Lalit Chordia and Ramesh Acharya honored the new District Collector by presenting him with the Mewari turban and uparna.
On this occasion, accredited journalists Shivnarayan Dabi, Arvind Mukhiya, Mubarik Shukriya, Ritu Jhota, Kamal Manav, and Alkesh Sanadhya also welcomed the District Collector by presenting him with the uparna.
During the event, the District Collector held discussions with senior journalists regarding the development of the district. Journalist Ramesh Acharya brought attention to the problems faced by journalists and informed the Collector that the land allotment process for journalists has been pending for the past 10 years in the Rajsamand and Nathdwara Municipal Councils.
He requested that prompt action be taken to allot land to journalists.
