Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma inaugurates “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” at Babar Road, New Delhi.

Hon’ble Cabinet Minister, GNCTD & Member New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Shri Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma in the august presence of Chairman, NDMC – Shri Keshav Chandra, Member NDMC, Shri Anil Valmiki and District Magistrate, New Delhi – Shri Sunny Kumar Singh inaugurated the rebranded Babar Road Dispensary as “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” (AAM) at Babar Road Dispensary, New Delhi today.
After inaugurating the “Ayushman Arogya Mandir”, Shri Parvesh Verma inspected the entire premises and interacted with all the medical staff. He informed that two “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” one at Babar Road and another at Sarojini Nagar Dispensary are being dedicated to the citizens of New Delhi area today.
Shri Verma informed that Central Govt. allotted a fund of Rs. 2400 Cr five years ago for making these “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” but the previous govt. was not able to utilize the funds and not construct even a single “Ayushman Arogya Mandir”. He said that this govt. is dedicated to provide best medical facilities to the citizens of Delhi and in this direction, a total 33 “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” and 17 Jan Aushadhi Kendra are being opened today in different parts of Delhi.
He said that total 1140 “Ayushman Arogya Mandir” will be opened in next eight months in different parts of Delhi to provide medical facilities to each and every individual of Delhi near their residence.
While addressing the gathering, Shri Verma said that all kind of medical practices such as Allopathy, Homeopathy and Ayurvedic will be provided here along with the facilities of testing, vaccination, medicine etc. He said that our motive is to work for the well-being of the people not to advertise.
He also emphasized for making the city neat and clean by not littering and use the garbage collection vehicles of NDMC for the proper disposal of the waste
The dispensary has been renovated for “Ayushman Arogya Mandir”. The renovation has improved the way finding/Signage and made the place publicly visible and attractive for the patients. The parking area has been demarcated for the disabled including a ramp for their easy accessibility. A vertical garden has been established along with enhanced greenery all around.
The highlight of the AAM Dispensary is the start of the laboratory for testing of the patients for the purpose of screening, detecting evaluation and further management of the patients. There is a full-fledged Pharmacy of Allopathy, Homeopathy and Ayurveda which is fully digitalized.
Allopathic and Ayush dispensaries are on the ground floor and the Maternity and child welfare Centre is on the First floor. On entry there is a waiting area with adequate seating for patients while they wait for registration. An LED TV has been installed for providing education, information and communication for lifestyle management as well as yoga instructions. Wellness and disease prevention is better than treatment being the main motive. Play areas on both the floors have been created for infants, toddlers and small children.
A queue management system has been installed where the patient gets a slip and awaits his turn and is registered and then sent to the designated OPD. The human resource is just adequate as fresh induction of various categories of staff is in process. There is immunization, vaccination and injection availability along with facilities for managing patients in emergency.
Along with the treatment, a special focus has been initiated for the wellness of the population, yoga and Health talks by experts has been envisioned for the new mothers, children and adults for prevention of disease and improved lifestyle.
