New Delhi: The gymnastics arena at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi came alive as the Khelo India Youth Games 2025 got underway with thrilling qualification rounds in the junior boys’ and girls’ categories. With over 170 gymnasts representing nearly 20 states, the competition witnessed high-energy performances and intense rivalries.

Boys’ Events: Delhi, UP, and West Bengal Lead the Charge

In the Men’s Still Rings event, participants from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal, Maharashtra, and Kerala demonstrated exceptional strength and control. The Floor Exercise saw strong showings from UP, West Bengal, Delhi, Odisha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Kerala, where rhythm, flexibility, and power came together in standout routines.

In the Pommel Horse event, gymnasts from Delhi, UP, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha displayed remarkable agility and balance to secure their spots in the next round.

Events Scheduled Until May 14

The gymnastics competitions will continue through May 14, with four events for girls and six for boys. The five-day contest provides a national platform for young athletes to showcase their talent and potentially pave the way for future international success.
