Why This Event Matters Today
As India moves toward its centenary year of independence in 2047, remembering every contributor to the freedom struggle becomes more important than ever.
Events like this strengthen the constitutional values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity — reminding citizens that freedom was earned through collective sacrifice across communities.
This initiative also aligns with the vision of Narendra Modi under the Amrit Kaal roadmap, encouraging documentation and celebration of India’s diverse freedom narratives.
A Call to Citizens
The organizers have invited patriots, students, historians, defense veterans, and members of the public to attend and be part of this historic evening.
They emphasize:
“This is not just about remembering the past. It is about inspiring the future.”
With the grandeur of the NDMC Convention Centre as the backdrop, the event promises to be a blend of solemn remembrance and cultural celebration — a reminder that India’s freedom story is incomplete without the Gorkhas.
