But Maharashtra government should pay serious attention to this:

Mumbai: Complaint submitted to the government demanding high level investigation
Pandharkawada (Maharashtra) – Whistle blower and social activist Rajnikant Daluramji Borele has made a serious allegation that fertilizer companies in the state have cheated farmers of crores of rupees by selling poor quality fertilizers. According to Borele, fertilizer bags do not contain the declared bio-potash or other necessary components. Instead of these, farmers are being cheated by mixing gypsum, poor quality cow dung manure, sugarcane mill sludge and other cheap elements. State Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also has this information. But some of the companies looting farmers are owned by political leaders. Therefore, the state government is playing the role of Gandhari. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should pay special attention to this serious issue and take immediate action.
He has demanded that the entire matter be investigated by central agencies like Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Income Tax Department. Along with this, criminal cases should be registered against the guilty companies and corrupt agriculture officials and the licenses of the fraudulent companies providing substandard potash in bags should be cancelled and the farmers should be compensated for the financial fraud committed against them – such a demand has been made by Rajnikant Borele in a complaint given to the Chief Secretary of the State Government, Agriculture Secretary, Divisional Commissioner of Amravati and District Magistrate of Yavatmal on 27 May 2025. This complaint has been made by the Taluka Magistrate of Kelapur Tehsil. And it has also been sent by registered post. But it is a serious matter and a case of looting and cheating of farmers, yet the Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary have not banned the company from selling substandard potash and bags. The companies openly looting the farmers are getting full protection of the government. Jindal Award winner Rajnikant Borele has written in his complaint that farmers buy fertilizers of different companies at the rate of Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,600 per bag for good crop and production. Although many companies write ‘Imported’ on their bags, cheap and low quality substances are mixed in them instead of expensive (but national) imported elements. Due to this, farmers are being cheated. He has also alleged that the Agriculture Department officials are ignoring this huge scam due to collusion with the companies and financial benefits. Borele has mentioned about 50 companies like Nirman Fertilizer, Amba Fertilizer, Coromandel International, Mahadhan Fertilizer, Agromax Fertilizer, Godavari Fertilizer, RM Potash and Chemical Private Limited. He told that these companies prepare a 50 kg bag for only Rs 200 to 300, which is sold to district distributors for Rs 500. These bags are then sold to retailers for Rs 900 to Rs 1,000, and ultimately farmers buy it for Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,300. If high quality imported potash was actually mixed in these bags, the companies would have taken home Rs 1,600 to Rs 1,700 per bag. So almost all the companies are resorting to adulteration and fraud, says Borale.
He also claimed that only a government company called Indian Potash Limited (IPL) is providing pure imported mixture. According to him, these private companies have an annual turnover of Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 crore, and many politically influential persons are also involved in them.
Key demands:
* Fertilizer bags of all the suspected companies should be sealed in the presence of the complainant and their samples should be tested in the laboratory of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (IARI), Pusa, New Delhi or Hyderabad.
• Until the investigation is completed, the fertilizer sales of these companies should be immediately stopped and their factories should also be investigated.
* The financial transactions of these companies and the fraud committed with the farmers should be investigated through ED, CBI and Income Tax Department.
* Criminal cases should be registered against the owners of the guilty companies and the agricultural officers who supported them and their movable and immovable properties and bank accounts should also be investigated.
* Between the years 2003 and 2025, thousands of farmers have committed suicide due to crop loss and debt burden. That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi also did this in Pandharkawada city of Yavatmal district. Rajnikant Borele has complete and unwavering faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ability and his loyalty towards the farmers. But there are some corrupt leaders in Narendra Modi’s team. Due to which farmers are being cheated like this. Then they kept quiet about the cheating of farmers. Due to such cheating, farmers will not get good crops in their fields and it is also certain that farmers will commit suicide in large numbers. BJP is ruling at the center and in Maharashtra – for this, orders should be issued in sealed cover for strict action immediately. Borele has specifically clarified that the retailers of Krishi Kendras are not at fault in this scam, because the real fraud is being done by the companies. Therefore, the licenses of the concerned companies should be canceled immediately – Rajnikanth Borele has also made such a demand in his complaint.
