Commendable Contribution of Beti Foundation: Grand Mass Wedding of 31 Brides in Chhattarpur, MP and MLA Extended Greetings

In a remarkable step towards strengthening the resolve of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao”, Beti Foundation (Regd.) successfully organized a mass wedding ceremony for 31 daughters belonging to economically weaker families on Sunday at Rishi Markandeya Bhawan, located in the Chhattarpur Temple complex. The grand event was graced by prominent dignitaries including South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and Chhattarpur MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar. Their presence not only symbolized social harmony but also brought new hope to families struggling under the burden of poverty.
The ceremony began around noon, when 31 grooms arrived riding horses, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of dhol and tasha. The officials and volunteers of Beti Foundation welcomed them with traditional rituals, including women showering flowers and tying turbans to honor the guests. The organization made excellent arrangements at the venue—separate decorated mandaps for each couple, two stages (one for the guests and the other for the bridegrooms and brides), and complete adherence to religious customs. Prior to this, a cultural program featuring captivating dance performances by women added to the festive spirit.
Satish Lohiya, Chairman of Beti Foundation, played a central and significant role in organizing the event. He distributed gifts to the newlywed couples as kanyadaan and also facilitated the varmala ceremony on stage. The grooms reached the mandaps first and waited for their brides, while chants of “Jai Shri Ram” and “Har Har Mahadev” echoed as the couples moved towards the wedding area. The marriages were solemnized following traditional rituals, and Bhagwat Katha narrator Deepti Singh, who arrived from Mathura, was specially honored. Speaking to the press, Lohiya said, “I am emotionally connected to this organization. We are preparing new plans for the health of poor families, distribution of warm clothes in winter, and financial assistance. I sincerely thank all the supporters.”
As special guests, MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar blessed the newlywed couples and performed the kanyadaan ritual. Bidhuri said, “The efforts of Beti Foundation are truly commendable, as they promote gender equality and support for the underprivileged.” Kartar Singh Tanwar echoed similar sentiments and appreciated the organization’s initiative. A meal was also arranged for the attendees; though there was some initial disorder due to the crowd, the volunteers quickly brought the situation under control.
This event stands as an exemplary model of social responsibility and is a testament to the continuous service efforts of Beti Foundation—such as weddings for specially-abled and underprivileged girls, along with other welfare initiatives. The hard work of the organization’s founder, Anoop Bhati, the co-founders, and all members resulted in a successful event that received widespread appreciation from all present. Such efforts will undoubtedly prove to be milestones in strengthening society.
