“BJP’s Formula: Wear BJP’s Vest, Corrupt Freely, We’ll Bail You Out”:Shaktisinh Gohil
Addressing the media, Shaktisinh Gohil said:
“I wholeheartedly welcome all members of the press and media to today’s press conference. The BJP’s formula is simple: wear the BJP scarf, commit corruption fearlessly, and if by chance you get caught while doing so—don’t worry, because the BJP government, our CBI, and our police are there to protect you. They’ll help you so you don’t land in jail. That’s the real mantra of the BJP.
I have here an order from the Delhi CBI court dated July 15—just two or three days ago. When I was pursuing my LLM, my professor once said something very profound: The Goddess of Justice doesn’t conduct investigations; she simply holds a scale. Both parties must come forward, present their arguments, evidence, and the truth—and the side with the heavier case will get justice in their favor.
But the BJP has utterly misused this principle of justice and truth. If someone commits a crime, naturally, the accused will try to escape it. But it is the responsibility of the investigating agency to gather all evidence and facts, and present them before the court so that the guilty are punished.
But what does the CBI do under BJP rule? If the accused is a BJP leader, even when clear proof of corruption is available, a case is filed only superficially. And when the matter reaches the court, the CBI deliberately fails to present the facts properly—so that on technical grounds, the BJP leader gets acquitted.
I will share with you this July 15 CBI court order. The court itself writes that when the CBI received the complaint, the law mandated immediate registration of an FIR. The Supreme Court has also ruled that upon receiving any complaint, an FIR must be filed. But for two whole years, despite a ₹5,000 crore corruption complaint, no FIR was filed. The investigation proceeded without any FIR. And only when they were pressured—through Parliament questions raised by me and several other MPs—did they finally file an FIR. But even then, the accused was treated like a relative, like a son-in-law.
The individual against whom these complaints were filed—there’s even a written note from Nitin Gadkari about him—is Montu Patel, President of the Pharmacy Council of India and a Gujarat-based BJP leader. There are numerous complaints with solid evidence against him. Yet, despite the case being handed to the CBI, nothing was done for two years. Only later was an FIR filed.
If someone posts even a minor tweet against PM Modi or the government on social media, they are arrested overnight. But Montu Patel has not been arrested. The court noted that he wasn’t even summoned. The CBI claims they spoke to him over the phone. If you could speak to him, that means you had his location. Then why not arrest him? Why talk over the phone?
Two luxury vehicles registered under his name, which were seen parked at his bungalow, mysteriously disappeared just before the CBI arrived. Clearly, the CBI tipped him off in advance. The CBI later said he had given a phone (after factory-resetting it and deleting all data) to his driver.
I will share the court order and supporting documents. Everything I am showing here—the CBI has this too—but they didn’t submit it to the court. The man who looted thousands of crores walked free because the CBI didn’t present the truth. All arguments were one-sided.
The opposing lawyer claims that the Supreme Court instructed colleges to be approved or rejected by a certain date. But the court never said physical inspection could be skipped. Still, the CBI didn’t even argue that. The result? Montu Patel was granted interim protection until July 23.
The CBI should have immediately approached the High Court to oppose the protection—but they didn’t. They have to submit their response by July 23. If the CBI continues with this cover-up, Montu Patel, despite such massive corruption, will get bail.
I want to ask PM Modi: You claim you neither eat (corruption money) nor allow others to eat—but your people won’t settle for less than crores, and anyone who speaks the truth isn’t even allowed to sleep peacefully. Despite all this, Montu Patel has not been expelled from the BJP.
He is still leading the BJP’s Youth Development Cell. This man is showing BJP youth how to earn crores through corruption.
Let me tell you how it worked: If someone wanted approval for a pharmacy college, there was a set procedure—but it wasn’t followed. Instead, you paid ₹10–25 lakh, and got immediate approval, even without a building. Investigative journalism by newspapers has shown that some colleges existed only on paper, with no physical infrastructure.
I also have audio recordings of these bribery deals, where the Pharmacy Council Chairman himself is involved. These proofs are with the CBI. They’ve been investigating for two years, yet have presented nothing before the court.
In court, the CBI says they learned about the ₹5,000 crore scam from newspapers and have no concrete knowledge. What kind of intelligence agency says such things?
This is clearly deliberate: the CBI lawyers are not strongly arguing the case so the accused gets anticipatory bail. Now, Montu Patel has been granted interim protection until July 23. The court has asked for a detailed reply with all facts. If the CBI continues its whitewashing, he’ll walk free.
I ask PM Modi again: If you’re truly clean, then first, expel Montu Patel from the BJP.
Second, instruct the CBI to submit all evidence to the court so that his anticipatory bail can be rejected and the case is fought up to the Supreme Court if necessary.
Third, your two favorite agencies—ED and Income Tax—should immediately be sent to investigate. This is a fit case.
Fourth, dismantle the entire corrupt setup within the Pharmacy Council. Place it under a retired judge from the Supreme or High Court, and pass the new law you promised for Pharmacy Council reforms in this very session—ensuring transparency.
The routine functioning and investigation of the Pharmacy Council should be supervised by retired judges until then.
On another question about the ED filing a chargesheet against Robert Vadra and the arrest of Bhupesh Baghel’s son, Chaitanya Baghel, Gohil said:
“Modi’s government has been in power for 11 years. They kept making accusations against the Gandhi family before elections. Yet, even after 11 years, they found nothing. According to criminal procedure law, if a chargesheet isn’t filed within a stipulated time, the accused is entitled to default bail and the case loses strength.
Despite all this, no progress was made against Vadra for years. Even the Khattar government formed an inquiry commission, which found nothing. Two SITs found nothing wrong either. Now, suddenly, a chargesheet is filed—clearly timed to divert attention. This is political vendetta. It won’t succeed.
The more they do this, the more love and blessings the Gandhi family and Congress will receive. Priyanka Gandhi is a fearless leader, standing up to the government in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi fights for the people from the streets to the Parliament—and the BJP is afraid of him. That’s why these actions are taken—to distract the public.
Whenever Parliament is about to begin, they do something to divert attention from real issues like democracy and public welfare.
This is an intimidation tactic, but it won’t work.
On another question regarding the Election Commission and alleged manipulation during state elections, Gohil said:
“The Election Commission is a constitutional body. India’s democracy earned respect globally because of its electoral integrity. People like T.N. Seshan used to challenge those in power.
Previously, appointments to the Commission were made by a three-member committee: the PM, the opposition leader, and the Chief Justice of India—ensuring fairness. Now, the Chief Justice has been removed. If Modi doesn’t intend to manipulate, why exclude the CJI?
Now, two members—PM Modi and Amit Shah—dominate the selection. What independence will remain?
I hope the Hon’ble Supreme Court takes note and addresses this root problem.
One last thing: The CBI has a personal diary from the accused, detailing who paid how much bribe and who received it. That diary has not been presented in court.
This is the truth, and we are presenting it before the public through you.
In response to another question, Gohil concluded:
“This is not the Gujarat model. This is the Modi model. Gujarat was Gandhi’s model. If Congress leaders had done even a fraction of this, they’d be in jail.
Despite mountains of evidence—audio recordings, diary entries, complaints—even Nitin Gadkari wrote letters. Still, the CBI does nothing.
Instead, BJP leaders enjoy immunity: wear the BJP scarf, commit corruption fearlessly, and if caught, don’t worry—we won’t let you go to jail.
I once held a press conference at 24 Akbar Road about a minor girl who was raped and killed by her principal—he should have gotten death under POCSO. But because he shared the BJP’s ideology, he got only 10 years in prison. He’ll get bail, appeal, and be out.
You may recall the NEET scam also originated in Gujarat. The main accused got bail. The CBI didn’t even file a bail cancellation appeal in the Supreme Court.
Their accomplices get away while innocent people are harassed. Even after 11 years, with no evidence, just because someone is associated with the Gandhi family, they’re targeted. This isn’t democracy. The people are watching.
Indira Gandhi was harassed too—but the people brought her back with a huge mandate.
The more they target us, the stronger Congress and the Gandhi family will become.”
