The Sadar Bazaar Bari Market Traders Association has taken several steps to strengthen security in the market. Association President Paramjit Singh Pamma stated that all shopkeepers have been instructed to install CCTV cameras both inside and outside their shops. In addition, traders have been asked to display the shop name, GST number, address, and mobile number on the outer shutters of their shops. Those who have not yet obtained a GST number have been advised to apply for it at the earliest.

Pamma further explained that displaying mobile numbers on shop shutters would help security guards quickly contact shop owners in case lights are left on or in the event of any emergency.

He also informed that fire safety cylinders will be installed at various locations throughout the market to control any fire-related incidents promptly. Due to congestion in the market, fire brigade vehicles often take time to reach the site, allowing small incidents to escalate into major ones. Therefore, all shopkeepers have also been urged to maintain fire safety equipment inside their respective shops.
