New Delhi :

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan” (Self-Reliant India Resolution Campaign) witnessed an enthusiastic traders’ and workers’ conference on Sunday in the Chhatarpur Assembly constituency of South Delhi. The event, held at Bell-La Monde Hotel, Chandan Hola, Chhatarpur, commenced at 3 p.m. with BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam as the chief speaker. Organized under the coordination of MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar, the conference saw active participation from the trading community as well as a large number of women who collectively pledged to adopt Swadeshi (indigenous) products, embracing the slogan “Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar-Ghar Swadeshi” (“Swadeshi in every home”).

The event not only served as a platform to strengthen economic self-reliance but also became a center for discussions on environmental preservation, water conservation, and the achievements of the double-engine government.Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan: Chhatarpur Takes a Swadeshi Oath, Inspiring Discussion on Modi Government’s Achievements hummernews.in

The program began with chants of “Bharat Mata ki Jai” and a warm welcome to National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, who praised the Modi government’s steps toward transforming India into a global power. As per the invitation post shared on social media by MLA Tanwar, the objective of the conference was to reinforce the resolve of Aatmanirbhar Bharat under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi. Hundreds of participants—including workers, traders, and women—enthusiastically echoed the slogan “Garv se kaho hum Swadeshi hain” (“Say with pride, we are Swadeshi”), demonstrating the campaign’s wide outreach.

In his keynote address, MLA Kartar Singh Tanwar highlighted the success of the GST system and stated,

> “India today stands among the world’s major powers. Despite continuous development, tax rates are being reduced, income tax exemptions have been increased, and a corruption-free governance system has been established.”

Speaking on India’s emergence as an economic and military power, he remarked,

> “India is already the third superpower, and the day is not far when it will become the number one power in the world.”

He emphasized environmental and water conservation efforts, saying,Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan: Chhatarpur Takes a Swadeshi Oath, Inspiring Discussion on Modi Government’s Achievements hummernews.in

> “We asked people for a double-engine government, but they gave us a three-engine government.”

His remarks hinted at accelerating local initiatives related to water preservation and environmental projects, which were warmly appreciated by both women and traders in attendance. Tanwar asserted that this campaign would become a milestone in integrating Swadeshi principles into everyday life in semi-urban areas like Chhatarpur.

The most inspiring segment of the event was Dushyant Gautam’s address, in which he connected historical insights with modern achievements, particularly targeting the youth. Referring to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s famous statement, he said,

> “Rajiv Gandhi once said that when he sent 100 rupees, only 15 reached the people. We have broken that web of corruption.”Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan: Chhatarpur Takes a Swadeshi Oath, Inspiring Discussion on Modi Government’s Achievements hummernews.in

He posed a reflective question to the audience:

> “What kind of India will your children inherit? That is why this meeting has been convened.”

Highlighting India’s cultural pride, Gautam remarked,

> “Foreigners don’t come to see the Taj Mahal; they come to witness the aarti at Kashi Vishwanath and the Ram Temple.”

He further lauded Modi’s leadership in strengthening India’s defense capabilities:

> “Earlier, India didn’t manufacture weapons, but now we do. Since the nation has become self-reliant, our confidence has grown. Modi Ji speaks to Pakistan eye-to-eye, and we have even conducted operations inside Pakistan. Our enemies tremble at the mention of BrahMos missiles.”

Taking a dig at the opposition, Gautam said,

> “When we introduced Digital India, the Congress mocked us, but we succeeded. Once known as a country of snake charmers, today even small street vendors use digital payments.”Aatmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan: Chhatarpur Takes a Swadeshi Oath, Inspiring Discussion on Modi Government’s Achievements hummernews.in

He presented statistics on India’s global rankings:

> “India ranks first in rice and pulse production, second in mobile manufacturing and road transport, and also second in steel and two-wheeler production. Tourists no longer visit to see the Eiffel Tower; they come to see the world’s tallest statue—Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Statue of Unity—and India’s highest railway bridges.”

Gautam also discussed India’s growing soft power:

> “We have built a Ram Temple not just in India but even in Abu Dhabi. By 2047, India will be a developed nation.”

Referring to International Yoga Day, he said,

> “We must rise above caste, religion, and language and revive the glory of the India that was once called the Golden Bird.”

He underlined the success of government schemes like MUDRA Yojana and Vishwakarma Yojana, aimed at empowering farmers and women, invoking Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s philosophy of Integral Humanism:

> “See how much progress women have made; their upliftment is visible everywhere.”

The speech resonated strongly with traders and women, many of whom signed pledges to promote Swadeshi products and encourage digital transactions.

The event also witnessed the presence of several senior BJP officials. South Delhi Municipal Corporation Chairman Umed Singh Phogat emphasized the importance of local development and sanitation drives. Bhati Ward Councillor and Standing Committee Member Sunder Tanwar shared his thoughts on environmental protection and women’s empowerment. Delhi Kisan Morcha Vice President Ramesh Ambavta discussed farmer welfare schemes, particularly MUDRA and Vishwakarma Yojanas. Chhatarpur Mandal General Secretary Ajay Kumar Mathur spoke on campaign progress and future strategies, while senior BJP leader and former municipal candidate Ajay Tyagi stressed the need to strengthen the Swadeshi movement at the ward level. Representatives from market traders’ associations and women’s groups also participated actively, reflecting the inclusive nature of the campaign.

The conference concluded with a collective resolution session, where participants vowed to build a Developed India by 2047 and make Swadeshi a core part of their daily lives. BJP workers believe that such events in areas like Chhatarpur will influence Delhi’s future political landscape.

Acknowledging the success of MLA Tanwar and his team, Dushyant Gautam remarked that the campaign symbolizes not just economic empowerment but also social unity. The conference thus stood as a significant step toward realizing the dream of a self-reliant India, uniting all sections of society through meaningful and goal-oriented dialogue.
