Guru Teg Bahadur Ji's Prakash Utsav celebrated with great pomp in Sadar Bazar -

The Prakash Utsav of the ninth Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was celebrated with great pomp on Qutub Road in Sadar Bazar by Federation of Sadar Bazar Trade Association Chairman Paramjit Singh Pamma, President Shri Rakesh Yadav, General Secretary Satpal Singh Manga, Kamal Kumar, Executive President Chaudhary Yogendra Singh, Treasurer Deepak Mittal, Senior Vice President of Bari Market Varinder Arya and many other traders.

On this occasion, Paramjit Singh Pamma and Rakesh Yadav said that all the traders prayed for the peace and prosperity of the country and distributed prasad and also appealed to everyone to follow the path shown by Guru Ji. He said that Sadar Bazar is an example of brotherhood, here people of all religions celebrate each other’s programs together.

Paramjit Singh Pamma said on this occasion that Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s Prakash Utsav is being celebrated with great pomp across the country, all the Gurudwaras have been decorated. A large number of devotees are visiting the Gurudwaras and praying.

Guru Teg Bahadur Ji was a saint who sacrificed his life to protect the pluralistic culture, religious freedom and human dignity of the Indian subcontinent. He stood up at a time when the swords of power wanted to crush the freedom of faith. He raised his voice against forced conversion in the name of religion and also raised his voice to protect faith.

He was martyred at Chandni Chowk in Delhi, but its echo is still heard in the consciousness of the whole world. Guru Teg Bahadur Ji proved that a true Guru does not only preach, he burns like a lamp in the darkness of the era.

Today, when we celebrate his Prakash Parv, it is not just a celebration of faith, but a re-membrance of the duty so that we too can stand up for our society, culture and truth with thoughts, words and deeds.
