Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara: A Spiritual Gathering Illuminated by the Teachings and Message of Ghaus-e-Pak

At the Ghausia Mosque, Mehrauli, the Qutbiya Faiz-e-Aam Sewa Samiti organized the grand annual celebration of Jashn-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara. On this sacred occasion, the mosque courtyard was filled with spiritual light and devotion. The program was presided over by Syed Haider Ali Qadri (Mohtamim, Jamia Imam Ahmad Raza), while Maulana Hashmat Ali Naimi (Khatib and Imam, Ghausia Mosque) conducted the proceedings.
Naat Recitations Filled the Gathering
The gathering began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by a series of soulful Naat recitations that enhanced the spiritual atmosphere.
Qari Ishtiyaq Barkati (Imam, Dargah Hazrat Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki) presented a heart-touching Naat.
Maulana Intizar Qadri (Imam, Pankhe Wali Masjid) created a captivating atmosphere with his spiritual style of reciting Naat in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Hafiz and Qari Shahid Raza (Ghausia Mosque) and Hafiz Qari Manazir Hussain further brightened the gathering with Naats and Manqabat.
Thoughts of the Special Guests
On this occasion, distinguished guests highlighted the life, miracles, and teachings of Ghaus-e-Pak, Hazrat Abdul Qadir Jilani (may Allah have mercy on him).
Ustad Qurra Allama Maulana Hafiz Qari Bakhtiyar Hussain Barkati Aleemi said: “The teachings of Ghaus-e-Azam guide people towards the love of Allah and His Prophet, and towards serving humanity.”
Mufti Mohammad Hasan Qadri Manzari spoke about the greatness and miracles of Ghaus-e-Pak, saying that his spiritual influence continues to prevail throughout the world.
Pir-e-Tariqat, Rahbar-e-Rah-e-Shariat Allama Maulana Alauddin Naqshbandi Ashrafi Qadri (Khatib and Imam, Noori Masjid, Mehrauli Sharif) beautifully remarked: “People revere Ghaus-e-Pak, but they do not follow his teachings. If his guidance is truly adopted, both worldly life and the hereafter can be reformed.”
The Significance of Gyarhvi Sharif
It is noteworthy that at Ghausia Mosque, Mehrauli, the Mehfil-e-Ghaus-ul-Wara is held every month on the 11th of the Islamic lunar calendar. This year, the annual program was specially organized on the occasion of Gyarhvi Sharif. The day is observed worldwide in remembrance of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, known as Ghaus-e-Azam, when devotees gather to honor his memory with spiritual assemblies.
The Spiritual Message of Ghaus-e-Pak
Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (passed away in 561 AH), also known as Ghaus-e-Azam, is regarded as the founder of the Qadriya Sufi order. His name is revered across religions and communities. The essence of his teachings is that one should dedicate life to the worship of God, obedience to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and service to humanity.
It is said that Ghaus-e-Pak lived his entire life in piety, devotion, and sincerity. His timeless message was:
“A true dervish is one who fears none but God and desires nothing from anyone.”
This is why, even today, the very mention of his name fills hearts with love and reverence.
