Celebration of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi: Jalsa at Ghausia Mosque Mehrauli, Message of Love and Peace

On the sacred occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, a grand gathering (Jalsa) was organized at Delhi’s historic Ghausia Mosque, Mehrauli. The mosque was beautifully decorated with colorful lights and green flags. The atmosphere was filled with spirituality and enthusiasm. A large number of religious scholars, social workers, and local residents participated in the event.
Presidency and Addresses
The Jalsa was presided over by Maulana Mufti Nizamuddin Noori from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. In his address, he said, “True love for Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the real foundation of faith. Only those who love the Prophet can truly understand the essence of religion.”
Maulana Mufti Abdurrahman from Kaushambi, Allahabad, said, “The Prophet of Islam came as a mercy for the entire world. His message is not limited to Muslims but is for all of humanity. Today, the world needs love, brotherhood, and justice more than anything else.”
The program was conducted by Maulana Abdul Qayyum Nizami, while the spiritual patronage was provided by Peer-e-Tariqat Hazrat Allama Qari Merajul Hasan Ashrafi Jayasi. The Jalsa was led by the President of Muslim Mission of India, Maulana Syed Haider Ali Qadri.
Emphasis on Education and Humanity
Maulana Zia-ul-Haq highlighted the importance of education, saying, “The very first message of Islam is knowledge. If Muslims remain away from education, their development will remain incomplete.” He appealed to the youth to acquire education and shape their lives according to the teachings of the Prophet.
Prominent Personalities and Gathering
Several notable personalities graced the occasion, including Maulana Alauddin Naqshbandi (Imam, Noori Mosque), Maulana Qari Bakhtiyar Hussain Aleemi, Maulana Abdul Qayyum Nizami (Imam, Parewali Mosque), Syed Shahre Alam (Faridabad), Qari Shahid Raza (Naib Imam, Ghausia Mosque), Islamic poet Mohammad Azmat Raza Muradabadi, Imran Khan Meraji, and Qari Rashid Raza Naqshbandi (Sangam Vihar).
Representatives from Qutbia Faiz-e-Aam Seva Samiti, Al Ittehad Islamiya Committee, and Muslim Mission of India were also present.
Recitations and Spiritual Atmosphere
The program began after the Isha prayer with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Shamshad Raza. This was followed by the recitation of Na’at (poems in praise of the Prophet), which immersed the gathering in the love of the Prophet. The slogans of “Naara-e-Takbeer” and “Naara-e-Risalat” reverberated in the entire atmosphere.
The Imam of Ghausia Mosque, Maulana Hashmat Ali Naimi, welcomed all the guests and scholars with garlands and expressed gratitude to the local community for their cooperation.
Conclusion and Prayers
The Jalsa concluded with a heartfelt prayer led by Qari Merajul Hasan Jayasi. He prayed, “May Allah make this gathering a source of peace, brotherhood, and true faith.”
Langar and Other Arrangements
The organizer, Maulana Rashid Raza Qadri, made excellent arrangements for Langar (community meal) for the large number of attendees. He successfully managed the responsibility of the event.
Message of the Jalsa
This Jalsa was not just a religious gathering but also conveyed a powerful message of love, humanity, and peace. The spiritual voice rising from Ghausia Mosque spread the message of brotherhood and affection not only in Delhi but across the entire nation.
