Intercontinental Legend Championship: Indian Warriors defeat Asian Kings by 7 wickets

Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh): Indian Warriors on Saturday defeated Asian Kings by 7 wickets in the ongoing Intercontinental Legends Championship here at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida.
In a match interrupted by bad weather, the Warriors defeated Asian Kings by 7 wickets under the DLS method to register their third consecutive win.
The match started at 3:30 PM, with Asian Kings winning the toss and electing to bat. Openers Imtiaz Ahmed and former Sri Lankan powerhouse Tillakaratne Dilshan added 38 runs for the first wicket. After Imtiaz (19) was dismissed, wickets kept falling from one end. Although Dilshan (23) stood firm at one end, the pressure of falling wickets saw him get out lbw to Sumit Singh.
Then, Umang Sharma (25) and Bipul Sharma (48) stabilized the team’s innings. In the end, Amit Mishra scored a quickfire 24 off 6 balls to take the team to a competitive score of 195.
Chasing the target, Indian Warriors also had a shaky start, losing captain Priyank Panchal for 10 runs in the fourth over.
However, the Warriors didn’t let the game slip from their hands. The match was briefly paused after 9 overs due to bad weather, with the Warriors at 87 runs for 3 wickets.
After the resumption, the DLS method set a revised target of 63 runs off the next 30 balls, which the Warriors chased down comfortably with contributions from Mauseef Khan (31), Kedar Devdhar (33), Pawan Negi unbeaten on 42, and Arun Chaprana, who scored an unbeaten 33 off 12 balls and was named Man of the Match.
With this win, Indian Warriors maintained their top position on the points table. They will play their next match against Trans Titans on June 2.

The Intercontinental Legends Championship (ILC), is featuring 6 teams from 6 continents. The 6 teams are African Lions, Trans Titans (Australia and New Zealand), Euro Gladiators, American Strikers, Asian Kings and Indian Warriors. The six iconic teams represent six global regions.
The league stage concludes on June 3, paving the way for the semi-finals scheduled for June 4 at 3:30 PM and 7:30 PM, respectively. The grand finale will be held on June 5 at 7:30 PM. The League organised by MVP Quest Private Limited and is managed by 100 Sports.
