On the 48th death anniversary of the late Shri Heeralal Chaturvedi, fondly known as ‘Guruji’, family members, disciples, and admirers gathered to pay heartfelt tribute to a man who shaped generations through music and values. A revered teacher and a symbol of humility, discipline, and devotion, Guruji’s legacy continues to inspire India’s musical landscape.
Born in 1914 in Takha village, Bharatpur (Rajasthan), Shri Chaturvedi moved to Delhi, where he dedicated his life to teaching and preserving classical music. Through the music school he established in Old Delhi, he trained thousands of students across ages and backgrounds—many of whom have gone on to perform on national and international stages, carrying forward his legacy with pride.
