Young Journalist Mohini Sood Elected Unopposed as Treasurer of Solan Press Club -

New Delhi / Solan : A significant shift was witnessed in the recent elections of the Solan Press Club, as young journalist Mohini Sood from ‘Divya Himachal’ was elected unopposed to the post of Treasurer. Her unchallenged election is not only a recognition of her individual contribution to journalism but also marks a growing representation of women and youth in media leadership roles.

In the same election, Manish Sharda was elected as President for the third consecutive term, while Kirti Kaushal was entrusted with the responsibilities of General Secretary. The election process was held peacefully at the Press Room located in Children’s Park, Solan, under the supervision of senior journalist and election officer Arvind Kashyap.

Mohini Sood has been actively involved with the Press Club since 2019 and has previously served in various roles such as Cultural Committee Head, Spokesperson, and Organizing Secretary. Her contributions have always been appreciated by the members of the club. Upon her election, she expressed her commitment to carry out the duties of Treasurer with transparency, integrity, and efficiency in financial matters.

She further stated that she envisions the Press Club as a platform where every member’s voice is heard and equal opportunities are ensured. Mohini also promised to introduce new initiatives to enhance the functioning of the club and work actively for the welfare of its members.

She expressed special gratitude to the Chief Patron of the club, Mukesh Kumar, acknowledging his guidance as a source of inspiration. She also congratulated Manish Sharda on being elected President for the third time and extended her best wishes to the newly appointed General Secretary Kirti Kaushal.
