11th Assam State Masters Swimming Championship Successfully Concluded.

The 11th Assam State Masters Swimming Championship was successfully held on Sunday, November 2, at the B. P. Chaliha Swimming Training Centre, located within the R. G. Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati, Assam. The event began at 10 a.m. with the flag hoisting ceremony conducted by Bhaskar Ranjan Das, General Secretary of the Assam Swimming Association. During the inaugural ceremony, former star swimmer Faria Zaman, Vice President of the Assam Swimming Association Chandan Jyoti Phukan, Publicity Secretary Mukuteswar Goswami, and Secretary of Kamrup District Swimming Association, Nabajyoti Gogoi,

were felicitated for their distinguished contributions to the swimming fraternity of Assam. Publicity Secretary Mukuteswar Goswami informed that a total of 150 men and women aged above 25 years participated in the championship. Competitors took part in 242 events across various categories. The most exciting attraction of the day was the spirited competition among male and female participants above 70 years of age. At the conclusion of the championship, coaches Babool Gurung, Momi Barman, David Chetia, Kalyan Kishore Kashyap, and Dibyajyoti Sharma, along with several distinguished guests and athletes, presented awards to the winners.
